Barcode Zapper

Meet the Barcode Scanner with attitude! ASP's Barcode Zapper is on a mission, aggressively grabbing any barcode that comes too near.

The first thing you'll notice is that there's a scan button on each side, making it comfortable for left or right handers.

Linear Imaging Technology gives the Barcode Zapper a sharper aiming line, and the all-in-one universal interface makes it suitable for most PC's. The new Barcode Zapper is a compact, high-performance hand-held barcode scanner, suitable for reading barcodes up to 120mm wide. And it's robust enough to withstand a 1.5 metre drop onto concrete.

The Barcode Zapper offers you an industry leading five year factory warranty. How's that for peace of mind!

Low power consumption makes the Zapper an ideal replacement for wands, particularly on Portable Barcode Readers such as ASP's Z4 DataTraq.

ASP StingRay

The ASP Zapper StingRay is as stylish as it is functional. This distance reading, Linear Imager Barcode Scanner has a read range of around 20 cm, making it an ideal match for its optional Hands Free Stand. The stand itself can be horizontally or vertically mounted, with a flexible arm that allows it to be positioned where you need it.

The StingRay has already won two Design Awards, that shows not only in its sleek appearance, but also in its balance in the hand. Weighing only 130 grams, and having a symmetrical trigger, allows for both left and right handed use.

The StingRay scans quickly and aggressively, and incorporates all the major interfaces such as RS232, PS2/Keyboard and USB. Changing the interface just requires purchase of the right user installable cable and scanning a few barcodes.

Zapper LongReach Linear Imager

The LongReach looks like a laser gun, scans like a laser gun, but it's priced like a CCD because it uses solid state Linear Imager technology.

You can read barcodes from up to 200mm away, and the bright focused reading beam makes aiming simple. The LongReach is pictured to the right without cable fitted; its optional "Hands Free" Stand is shown in the inset.

Like the Barcode Zapper, the LongReach has all its interfaces built in as standard - PC Keyboard Emulation, Notebook, MAC, RS232, RS232 Wedge and Wand Emulation. Just get the right adaptor cable assembly, click it onto the end of the cable, and scan a few barcodes from the manual.

ASP QS6000 Laser Gun Scanner

We call ASP's Laser Gun Scanner the "purrfect Scanner". It uses an advanced dithering mirror to sweep the scan beam, and this assembly makes a very quiet "purr" as it reads. It's such an efficient reader, that to our mind the Scanner is expressing its contentment with reading barcodes...but maybe we are reading too much into things.

ASP's Laser is built by PSC of the USA, and offers great performance at an affordable price. It will read practically any barcode symbology, and its 33cm depth of field and bright, easily seen red beam line, makes barcode reading a snap. The combination of a durable plastic case with contrasting resiliant rubber like sections protects the Scanner against workday knocks and drops. Interfaces include RS232 and PC Keyboard Emulation, and its low power consumption and trigger operation makes it a natural for use with ASP's Z4 DataTraq Portable if you need to roam.

An Auto Sensing Stand is also available to convert the Laser to hands free applications.

QuickScan QS2500 Linear Imager

Using Linear Imager technology like the Zapper LongReach, the QS2500 also scans at a distance like a laser, but at a lower price.

While it doesn't have the interface flexibility of the LongReach (order PC Keyboard Emulation or RS232, but no reconfiguration is possible), it will read Reduced Space Symbology and PDF417 (the 2D "stacked barcode" standard), making it a very cost effective solution if you have this need.

This Scanner comes with a 3 year warranty (1 year on cable).

ASP PowerScan Distance Laser Gun

The PowerScan family of handheld laser scanners has been specifically designed "from the ground up" to meet the demands of industrial users. In this tough environment, the right tool makes all the difference.

The PowerScan offers fast, accurate barcode reading, from up to almost 165cm away. Even labels thought to be unreadble can now be read with the PowerScan's Quadralogic decoding software. The PowerScan will auto-discriminate all standard barcode symbologies and automatically adjust to read a wide range of code densities.

You can depend on the PowerScan to keep on working in even the harshest working environments. Designed to meet the most stringent drop specification in the industry, the scanner will withstand multiple 183cm drops to concrete. Even dust and moisture won't phase it, and the PowerScan operates over a wide temperature range, from below freezing to over 49 degrees C.

Datalogic Gryphon Scanner

The new Gryphon reader series has been developed to provide optimised reading performance through excellent ergonomic design, a natural instinctive reading approach and innovative good reading feedback.

The Instinctive Reading Distance, a concept introduced by Datalogic a few years ago based on in-depth ergonomic studies, represents the natural position of the user while reading a code. The Gryphon series takes this concept one step further. The series includes two tethered (D100 and D200) and two cordless (M100 and M200) models, allowing operations anywhere mobility is required at the desk/pOS and around the shop floor, as well as in a small warehouse. The new green spot produced by the Gryphon provides good reading feedback directly on the code, where the user usually tends to be looking. Correct pointing becomes quick and easy thanks to the sharp and bright illumination line. All these characteristics are coupled with outstanding performance in terms of reading quickness and decoding capability thanks to state-of-the-art optics and a decode rate of 270 scans/sec, making the Gryphon very user friendly, intuitive and fast.

Especially optimised optics allow reading of the most popular standard codes with superior depths of field from near contact to over 30 cm. High resolution codes, which can reach 3 mils are also easily read. Two specific models of the Gryphon series (D200 and M200) have also been designed to provide decoding of the most popular stacked codes such as PDF417, CODABLOCK and CODE 16K, as well as traditional bar codes. The Gryphon reader series is paving the road for innovative bar code reading.
