TimeSheet Express V3 uses our ZipNet Terminal for collection of staff clock in and clock out times. Time data is processed and rounded by a few simple rules, then presented in an easy to comprehend visual display. Editing, if required, is easily carried out, and a full range of reports is available. Export to popular Payroll Programs is easily achieved with optional Export Modules (see below).

This program is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7, and includes a number of enhancements over the previous version.

Payroll Export Module for TimeSheet Express

Payroll Export Modules allow you to transfer the time and attendance data collected by TimeSheet Express directly into your Payroll Program. Currently supported payroll programs are:

ZipNet Terminal, IDTag Only

ASP's ZipNet Terminal was designed as a cost effective base for networked time and attendance applications. The size of a power point, the ZipNet clearly displays the time, and provides a touch socket for reading high security IDTags to identify staff.
Up to 31 units may be daisychained on up to 1.2 klm of low cost cable from a single PC COM Port via ASP's Smart RS485 Adaptor.
In operation, the ZipNet Terminal signals a "good read" of an IDTag audibly and visually. Data is then stored, time stamped, in non volatile memory, awaiting collection by the host computer at its convenience. When polled, the ZipNet Terminal downloads its data, and synchronises its clock to that of its host.
The ZipNet Terminal is built tough. Its attractive appearance conceals thick ABS plastic walls, with back and side reinforcement in stainless steel. Australian power point mounting brackets and blocks can be used for custom installations.
Units may be powered by a local plug pack (wall transformer) power supply, either low voltage AC or DC, or by power supplied over the data cable.

Smart RS-485 Adaptor

Each installation of 'wired-in' ZipNet Terminals at a site requires a Smart RS-485 Adaptor to interface between the terminals and a PC or modem. Up to 31 ZipNet Terminals can be daisy-chained together, using up to 1200 metres of low-cost twisted pair cable.
The Smart RS-485 Adaptor allows ZipNet Terminals to be connected in one of these ways:

To a USB port on the PC running TimeSheet Express, using the polling features built into TimeSheet Express.

To a USB port on another PC on the same network as the PC running TimeSheet Express, using our ZipNet Polling Program or ZipNet Anywhere.

Where ZipNet Terminals are located at a remote site, by attaching between the terminals and a modem which is connected to a telephone line. This arrangement requires the ZipNet Anywhere program to be used at the site where TimeSheet Express is located.
The Smart RS-485 convertor comes with a USB cable and a 500mA 12v DC power supply.

ZipNet Polling Program

In some organisations, the ZipNet Terminals may be located quite some distance from the computer running the TimeSheet Express software, which usually means long (and possibly expensive) cabling costs. However, if there's another computer located near the ZipNet Terminals that is on a LAN (ie networked) with the TimeSheet Express computer, you can use our ZipNet Polling Program. The ZipNet Polling Program can collect the data from the ZipNet Terminals, and then save that data over the network to the computer running the TimeSheet Express program, which is set to accept the data in that way.

ZipNet Anywhere

ZipNet Anywhere is an enhanced version of our ZipNet Polling Program (see above) that can use telephone or GSM modems to download data from ZipNet Terminals located anywhere in the world. ZipNet Anywhere operates around the idea of units, locations and schedules. Units are ZipNet Terminals. Locations can be Local, where ZipNet Terminals are attached to a serial port on the computer running ZipNet Anywhere, or Remote, where a telephone or GSM modem is used to communicate with one or more units that are attached to another modem at a separate site.Schedules are used to control when ZipNet Anywhere polls locations. Each location can accommodate up to 31 ZipNet Terminals, and an unlimited number of locations and schedules can be defined.

IDTags

A$ 9.90

Robust iButton based employee identification devices, for use with ZipNet Terminals. IDTags are a hardy and secure option to barcoded plastic employee cards.

You'll need one of these for each employee, and a few extra for the future.
